PAL Assessment
- The Pathways to Assessment of Learning (PAL) is a play-based assessment for young children that partners with the family to identify a child's strengths and describe development in the areas of cognition and play, speech and language, sensory and movement, and social and emotional development and to address the family's questions and concerns.
- The team, consisting of a family resource coordinator, an education specialist, an occupational therapist, and a speech-language pathologist, identifies next steps that the child will likely be making and shares strategies to support that development. An extensive report with these next steps and strategies is provided to the family.
- For more information about the PAL Assessment, please contact Barb Roscoe Barbara.roscoe@colorado.edu
Early Circles
- Early Circles is a class specifically for families with children with Down Syndrome.
- It fosters relationships between families and provides information about childhood speech development, specific to children with Down Syndrome, and how we as parents and families can support speech development in our children, as well as anything else the families want to know about.
